"Season 2 will most definitely not be the end of the series. Netflix revealed that
Bridgerton had been renewed for at least
two more seasons in April of last year, and the streaming service also announced a
spinoff prequel for Queen Charlotte. If the show continues to follow the order of the novels, we expect season 3 to spotlight Benedict Bridgerton and season 4 to focus on Colin Bridgerton. But, given the show's success so far and the fact that the book series contains eight novels (and more if you count the prequels and epilogues), there's a good chance that
Bridgerton will extend beyond four seasons."
Bridgerton swept us off our feet," Bela Bajaria, the Vice President of Global TV at Netflix, described. "The creative team, led by Shonda [Rhimes], knew the material and delivered a beautiful, emotional, romantic drama for our members. They have some exciting plans for the future, and we think audiences will continue to swoon for this show. We're planning to be in the Bridgerton business for a long time to come."
